Regional schools have launched a series of engineering workshops for high school students

Contractors have begun the first phase of work, which includes resurfacing, local landscaping and lighting adjustments along pedestrian connections.

The new program combines practical classes, meetings with mentors and short project sessions where students can try their hand at working with prototypes.

The focus is on an applied format

Training modules are distributed in several areas: robotics, basic electronics, industrial design and digital modeling. Teachers note that schoolchildren will be asked to work in small teams in order to develop not only technical skills, but also the ability to present results.

If the program shows sustained interest from schools, it is promised to be expanded to neighboring municipalities by the beginning of the next school year.
