Municipal services said the new traffic pattern is designed to reduce waiting times at key stops and more evenly distribute the flow of passengers during peak hours.
What will change in the coming weeks
According to the transport department, some routes will receive additional rolling stock, and headways on the busiest routes will become shorter. Representatives of the carriers clarified that the adjustments are being introduced in stages so that residents have time to get used to the new schedule and check convenient transfers in advance.
The authorities added that feedback from passengers will be collected in April, after which certain sections of the routes can be further adjusted.
